Ocean County Library Collecting Dresses, Tuxedos For Prom

If you're cleaning out closets and have prom clothing to part with, the library is welcoming donations for needy teens.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — If you've joined the minimalist cut-the-clutter craze of Marie Kondo and find yourself with prom clothing to part with, the Ocean County Library system would love to take it off your hands.

With prom season just around the corner, the library system is accepting formal attire to provide them to needy students in Ocean County.

This is the 11th year the library system has collected the clothing and distributed it at no charge to teens. The drive will provide formal attire to middle school and high school aged students at no charge for their school’s formal events. Donations give students the opportunity to join their friends at a memorable event with confidence.
