UPDATE: Man Propositioned Girls At Bus Stop, Tried To Get Them In Truck
Nicholas Ravaioli of Ocean County was under lifetime supervision for a luring conviction when he tried to lure two teenage girls.

A 30-year-old man has admitted that he tried to lure teenage girls into his truck after propositioning them at a bus stop.
Nicholas Ravaioli of Jackson, who faces nine years in prison after he pleaded guilty Thursday to two counts of child luring, was on parole supervision for life for a previous luring incident, Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato said Friday.
Ravaioli pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge Wendel E. Daniels to the two counts in connection with a string of incidents in September 2013, in which Ravaioli admitted trying to lure two teens into his black Nissan Frontier pickup truck for the purpose of committing a crime against them, said Al Della Fave, spokesman for the prosecutor’s office.

Ravaioli admitted Thursday that he approached two teens who were waiting for their school buses in his pickup truck, made inappropriate comments and tried to convince them to get into the truck, Della Fave said. The two incidents were among five eventually linked to Ravaioli, and involved victims from 10 to 15 years old.
Previously reported event details on the two incidents say a 14-year-old girl reported she was approached in the area of Pinemere Avenue in Lakewood just before 8 a,m. on Sept. 10, 2013, and propositioned by a man later identified as Ravaioli. She refused to get into the truck and ran to her parents. He then approached a 15-year-old girl an hour later near Kimberly Drive, and that girl ran as well. Lakewood Police were called immediately and Ravaioli was stopped while still driving in the area, Della Fave said. He was interviewed and arrested that day.

The prosecution, led by Senior Assistant Prosecutor Terry Ann Linardakis, is seeking 9 years in prison, with stipulation of three years parole ineligibility concurrent on both counts; Megan’s Law registration; parole supervision for life, and no contact with the victims. Sentencing will occur after Ravaioli undergoes a psychiatric evaluation, he said.
The matter was investigated by Ocean County Prosecutor’s office Detective Lindsay Woodfield and Lakewood Police Detective Steve Wexler, with assistance from Lakewood Police Officers Robert Meyer, Gary Przewoznik and Richard Stanick.
Ravaioli has been held at the Ocean County Jail, Toms River, in lieu of $300,000 bail, no 10 percent, since his arrest.
