Roy Rogers Still Looking to Open

Restaurant chain to come before planning board again

The Roy Rogers chain of fast food restaurants is still looking to open a location at the former Denny's building on the border of Toms River and Brick.

For years, Denny's was located at the corner of Brick Boulevard and Molly Lane in Brick. last summer.

Roy Rogers currently operates one other location in Ocean County – on Route 9 in Pine Beach – and has been slated to come before Brick township's planning board on several occasions as the approval process has moved on. The restaurant chain is scheduled to come before the board Wednesday, June 27 for another hearing, said Brick Township Planner Mike Fowler.
