Sandy LMI Programs Open

Programs for Sandy low to moderate income homeowners and renters announced in November now open.

A new grant for reconstruction, rehabilitation and elevation will take applications for low to moderate income homeowners who did not participate in the RREM program. Eligibility is for those homeowners who had over $8,000 worth of damage to their primary residence or over one foot of water on the first floor. The homeowner must have registered with FEMA.

The income elegibility guidelines range by family size; for an Ocean County family of four the cutoff is $69,800. The Tenant Based Rental Assistance program has the same income guidelines.
