Sandy Wave Riders Continues With OCFSC

 Every Tuesday 5:00pm-7:00pm January 7– February 11, 2014 for ages 10-13

Every Saturday 10:00am-12:00pm January 4– February 8, 2014 for ages 7-9

In collaboration with NJ Hope and Healing, the Ocean County Family Success Center is excited to offer the Sandy Wave Riders Program (SWR). This psycho-education based intervention offers empowerment, encouragement, positivity, and ongoing resiliency building.

The goal of the activities is to significantly reduce stress reactions, anxiety, fear and sadness, which can interfere with a sense of security and impact academic performance and/or behavior. This is achieved by guiding children to do what they do best; playing, learning and creative problem-solving. The activities are geared towards developing an increase of hope, self-esteem, self-efficiency, daily functioning, and adaptational skills.

Best of all-this program is fun and free!!
