Santa Claus To Visit Toms River's Mathis House
The Victorian tearoom is hosting Santa and serving up tea, scones, and seasonal snacks.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — Santa Claus is coming to Toms River!
On Wednesday, the Mathis House, a Victorian bed & breakfast and tearoom, will host Santa at a tea party in its famed tearoom. To welcome Santa, the 1890s mansion will be decorated with 24 Christmas trees.
Families can take photos with Santa Claus in the tearoom, but they can also enjoy warm chocolate chip scones with clotted cream, lemon curd and strawberry preserves. Each ticket holder will also be treated to a full pot of gourmet holiday tea.

On Tuesday night, the tearoom is hosting a professional theater troupe to stage a reading of Lewis Carroll’s “A Christmas Carol,” complete with costumes. Audience members will also enjoy tea and scones for Tuesday’s performance.
Tickets to see Santa cost $20 for adults plus tax and gratuity, and $10 for children 12 and under. Children under 5 are free. Call 732-818-7580 to confirm.
