Screenings Set For Toms River Baseball Documentary

The film by Toms River's Sandra Levine looks at Toms River South coach Ken Frank's career and the love Toms River has for the sport.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — If you missed the April screening of the Toms River South baseball documentary produced by local filmmaker Sandra Levine, there are two opportunities in the coming days to do so.

Levine, the Toms River resident who also produced the documentary "Hope and Healing After Sandy" on the devastation and rebuilding following Superstorm Sandy's destructive hit to the Jersey Shore, completed "South Baseball — The Spirit of Winning" earlier this year. It was the capping of a two-year effort to capture the career of Toms River South baseball coach Ken Frank and the connection and love Toms River has for the sport as a whole.

The first upcoming screening is set for Wednesday, June 6. It is being held in the cafetorium at Toms River South and the screening is hosted by the Toms River South Diamond Club. The free screening includes light snacks and begins at 6:30 p.m.
