Seaside Heights Soup Kitchen Has Takeout Amid Coronavirus Spread

With all dine-in facilities ordered to close amid the coronavirus outbreak, Simon's Soup Kitchen is a resource for those in need.

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ — A Seaside Heights soup kitchen is offering prepackaged meals to Ocean County residents in need of food during the outbreak of the new coronavirus.

Simon's Soup Kitchen, which operates at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, is providing the meals on Tuesday and Friday evenings starting at 5:30 p.m., executive director John Salemi said.

Restrictions put in place by Gov. Phil Murphy halting dine-in service at restaurants and bars on Monday meant the soup kitchen had to suspend its sit-down service as well.
