Silverton Fire Company Cancels Fall Festival, Poker Run
The forecast for potentially severe weather prompted the cancellation, officials said.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — The anticipated impact of Hurricane Ian has prompted the Silverton Volunteer Fire Company to cancel its annual Fall Festival and associated events that were scheduled for Saturday, the fire company announced.
The festival, Poker Run, and 5K and Fun Run will not be rescheduled, fire company officials said.
"We will not be able to reschedule the festival due to other conflicting activities and previous commitments of our vendors, presenters and emergency services personnel," the fire company said.
