State Police Plan DWI Checkpoint In Toms River
The checkpoint is part of enhanced enforcement in place through the end of the summer season.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — New Jersey State Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Toms River on Saturday, Aug. 17.
State police did not give the exact location of the checkpoint, but said they will be looking for drivers who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The checkpoint is part of stepped-up enforcement statewide as the summer comes to an end. DWI enforcement grants were issued to more than 100 towns, including Seaside Heights, for the period through Labor Day, and other towns have heightened enforcement.
