TOMS RIVER, NJ — When the Toms River Field of Dreams opened in 2022, founder Christian Kane said one of the missions was to create and host a variety of activities at the complex for those with special needs.

That goal has been reached with the announcement of a summer concert series at the complex, 1505 North Bay Ave., that is open to the public. The concert series, sponsored by Surf Taco, kicks off Tuesday, June 27, and will be held Tuesdays through Aug. 8.

It's an opportunity for the community at large to experience what it has to offer. The complex has been primarily dedicated to those with special needs and their families, with free membership that allows them to access the complex without facing competition from children who do not have disabilities, Christian Kane said.
