Suspect in Last Week's Silverton Bank Robbery Arrested
Suspect accused of robbing Wells Fargo arrested by U.S. Marshals in Wisconsin

The suspect in the in the Silverton section of Toms River was arrested over the weekend in the state of Wisconsin by United States Marshals, according to police.
According to Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy, the suspect was tracked by detectives and was seen on Friday afternoon in a stolen black Ford Explorer with New York State license plates.
The stolen SUV was abandoned on Frontage Road near Fischer Boulevard and Yellowbank Road after a , and lasted for approximately four miles, according to police.

Mastronardy said the suspect then fled on foot through back yards on Frontage Road.
Toms River detectives, led by Capt. Bruce Burgess, were then able to identify the suspect with the cooperation of other citizens, leading to the suspect's arrest.

The suspect's name is being withheld until charges are pressed and is awaiting extradition back to the Rochester, NY, area, where he is wanted on a no-bail warrant by authorities.
Wells Fargo on Hooper Avenue in the Silverton section of Toms River was robbed around 2:30 p.m. June 23. The suspect was caught on surveillance video after visiting the bank twice that day.
Eight employees and one customer were inside Wells Fargo at the time of the robbery, but no one was injured. A weapon was not shown during the robbery, and the amount of cash stolen is undetermined, according to Mastronardy.
The robbery was the first of at Wells Fargo banks in the Toms River area in the last seven days.
