Toms River Boy, 4, Hit And Killed By Ice Cream Truck
Reports say the child was riding a tricycle at the time he was hit.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A 4-year-old boy from Toms River was hit and killed by an ice cream truck Thursday night in upstate New York, according to reports
The boy was identified as Shmuel Gelis, according to News 12 New Jersey.
Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty told the Mid-Hudson News the boy was riding a tricycle and got caught under wheel of the ice cream truck and was run over. The incident happened about 7:30 p.m. in Birchwood Estates on Sackett Lake Road in Thompson, reports said.

Paramedics from the Catskills Hatzolah treated the boy at the scene, and he was taken to Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, where he was pronounced dead, the Record Online reported. The ice cream truck driver stayed at the scene, the report said.
The boy and his family had lived in Coventry Square in Lakewood but had recently relocated to the Tallymawr Estates neighborhood in Toms River, according to Matzav.com.
