Toms River Council To Discuss New Deputy Municipal Clerk
The council is scheduled for an executive session and may appoint a new deputy clerk, replacing Destiny Reynolds, after the session.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River Township Council has scheduled a special meeting for 6 p.m. Tuesday to discuss the hiring of a deputy municipal clerk.
Destiny Reynolds, who had been the township's deputy municipal clerk since August 2017, has resigned to become the township clerk in Eagleswood Township, Toms River Township Attorney Anthony Merlino said.
She had been appointed the Toms River deputy clerk after Alison Carlisle was promoted to township clerk following the retirement of J. Mark Mutter, the town's longtime clerk, former mayor and historian.

The meeting was announced Thursday morning in a notice signed by township attorney Anthony Merlino. It will be held in the L. Manuel Hirshblond Meeting Room on the second floor of town hall, 33 Washington St.
The council is set to go into executive session to discuss the qualifications of applicants for the position and terms for the appointment.

The council may make the appointment following the executive session, the notice said.
