Toms River Elks Donate $10K For Police Dog
The Toms River Police Department welcomed the K9 officer to its ranks over the weekend.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River Police Department introduced its newest K9 officerand thanked the local Elks lodge for its support and assistance.
K-9 Officer Rooney and his handler, Patrolman Matthew Broderick, were introduced at a ceremony at Toms River Elks Lodge 1875 on Washington Street last Saturday.
The lodge raised $10,000 for Roony and for a protective vest.
