TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River Township and Fulfill are distributing emergency food kits again this week for families in need due to the coronavirus.
However, the food distribution will be on Thursday this week, because of the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
The food kits will be distributed beginning at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Toms River Presbyterian Church, 1070 Hooper Ave., and at South Toms River Elementary School, 419 Dover Road, South Toms River.

The changes are for this week only, officials said. Food kits will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.
The distribution is designed to limit interaction and promote social distancing, and will be performed drive-through style. Families should remain in their vehicle at all times. Please keep your windows closed and pop the trunk and volunteers will deliver the food to the trunk or truck bed.
