Toms River Man Charged As 'Large Quantity' Of Pills Seized From His Home, Police Say

Police say the arrest was the culmination of a monthlong investigation.

A Toms River man is facing multiple drug counts after a monthlong investigation led to his arrest and the seizure of a large quantity of prescription pills, police said Tuesday.

Vincent Perone, 60, of Tudor Court, was arrested Sept. 17 after members of the Toms River Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at his home, after the investigation into suspected narcotics distribution at the home.

Perone was charged with two counts of possession of oxycodone, two counts of possession with the intent to distribute oxycodone, possession with the intent to distribute Oxymorphone, two counts of possession of Alprazolam, possession of Oxycodone and Hydrochloride.

Perone has posted bail that was set at $50,000, no 10 percent.
