Toms River Poseidon Speaker Series Continues Tuesday

The series, at the Poseidon Academy building by the Toms River, is sponsored by the township's Green Team.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Environmental topics continue to be brought into focus during the Toms River Green Team's Poseidon TRUST Speaker Series.

The series, which continues Tuesday, April 16, is presented by the Toms River Green Team in partnership with Toms River Regional Schools at the district's Poseidon Academy.

The speaker is Kaitlin Gannon, education coordinator at the Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve. She will be presenting on Ecological and Economic Importance of the Estuary and benefits of Green Infrastructure.

The event starts at 7 p.m. at the Poseidon Academy, across the street from the Post Office on Irons Street.

The speaker series invites individuals to present on environmental and sustainable topics such as the health of Barnegat Bay, green economy, storm water management, energy conservation and the impact on the local economy and other similar topics.
