Toms River Schools Announce Delayed Opening Tuesday
The wintry weather expected Monday evening and overnight is anticipated to cause issues in the morning. See school start times below.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River Regional School District announced a 90-minute delayed opening for Tuesday, Feb. 12, as the second in a pair of back-to-back winter storms geared up to hit the area.
"Based on snow and freezing rain forecasts creating hazardous road conditions, a 90-minute delayed opening has been scheduled for tomorrow. Should conditions worsen into the morning and require a snow day, a notification will go out to families no later than 6 a.m.," the district said.
The National Weather Service Mount Holly office is predicting up to 3 inches of snow in the Toms River area along with a possibility of ice into the morning Tuesday.
