Toms River Schools Cancel Afternoon, Evening Events Tuesday
All afterschool events have been canceled due to the incoming storm that forecasters say could bring a foot of snow.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River Regional School District has canceled afternoon and evening activities for Tuesday, March 20.
Officials made the announcement Tuesday afternoon.
The cancellation applies to all afterschool activities and all rentals of district facilities for Tuesday, March 20.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning on Tuesday morning that extends through early Thursday. A nor'easter that is expected to hit in two waves is predicted to bring 8 to 12 inches of snow to much of Ocean County, as of 3 p.m. Tuesday.
