Toms River Schools Cancel Classes For Wednesday
The Board of Education meeting that was scheduled for Wednesday night has been postponed as well.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Officials in the Toms River Regional School District officials have canceled school for Wednesday, March 21, due to the ongoing winter storm.
In addition, the Board of Education meeting that was scheduled for Wednesday evening has been postponed to Wednesday, March 28. The monthly meetings are held in the auditorium at Toms River High School North and the public session begins at 7:30 p.m.
The district had three emergency closure days built into the school calendar and used two days in January when the first big storm of the winter dropped a foot of snow. Wednesday's closure will mean the district will have used up its emergency closure days. It could be worse: Ocean County was spared during the last two storms that knocked out power to thousands of homes in the northern and western parts of the state and in Pennsylvania. In those areas, some districts have a week or more of snow days piled up already.
