Toms River Schools Hosting Open House On Special Needs Services

If you have a child who may have problems learning or may need special education services, information on what's available will be here.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — If you are the parent or guardian of a preschool-aged child who you believe may have a problem learning or other development issues, there are services available to help, and an open house in June will put information on them all in one place.

The open house, called Project Child Find, is for families of children ages 3 to 5 and is set for Monday, June 11, in the atrium at the Toms River school district's administrative offices at 1144 Hooper Avenue. The open house runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will be closed for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Special education and related services are available to children from age 3 until age 21 who have been identified as having an educational disability.
