Toms River Shooting Victim Dies Of Injuries
Javon Cutler, 19, had been in critical condition since being shot in head Sunday evening, the prosecutor said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Berkeley Township man who was shot in the head Sunday in Toms River has died, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said Thursday.
Javon Cutler, 19, died about 7 p.m. Wednesday at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where he had been hospitalized since Sunday night. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday afternoon, Billhimer said.
Cutler and two friends were leaving the Toms River Apartments on Main Street about 8:15 p.m. Sunday when someone began shooting at the vehicle, Billhimer said. Cutler, who was sitting in the back seat, was struck in the head. The driver of the vehicle drove him straight to Community Medical Center, and from there he was taken to Jersey Shore with what authorities on Sunday said were life-threatening injuries.
