Toms River Vest-A-Cop Event Moves To Downtown

Local businesses in Downtown Toms River will be supporting the 32nd annual Vest-A-Cop program.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River PBA No. 137 will hold its 32nd annual Vest-A-Cop event on Sept. 26.

This year, however, the event will be held in downtown Toms River, with police officers waiting tables at Capone’s Gourmet Pizza and Pasta House, Crave and A Thyme for All Seasons. Battle River Brewery and Garden State Distillery will be serving up refreshments. Mandoli’s Custom Cake Confectionary and Mueller’s Creamery will have desserts.

The following vendors are scheduled to participate:

  • We So Korny Kettle Corn – Over 5 different flavors of Kettle Corn
  • John&Debbieo’s Concessions – Fried Oreos, Cotton Candy, Funnel Cakes and Lemonade
  • Patriot Cigars – Cigar vendor
  • Ocean County Emerald Society Pipes and Drums – Irish Bagpipe music

There will be activities for the whole family, the PBA said. They include:

  • Wreck Your Pallet Axe Throwing
  • Shore Amusements Inflatables – Bounce house and obstacle course
  • Dunk Tank – Dunk a TRPD Officer
  • Fun Bags Cornhole Lounge - Cornhole boards will be set up to play!
  • Monkey Bizz Entertainment - Face Painting

The Toms River Township Sensory Trailer will be present to offer respite for those who struggle with sensory issues and need a place to find the peace and calm they need to cope with sensory overload.
