Toms River Wants You To Recycle Your Christmas Tree
The township accepts trees for recycling at nine locations; curbside pickup begins Jan. 21.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — If you chose the first weekend in January to take down your decorations and your Christmas tree, township officials have a message: Recycle them, please.
The township's Parks and Recreation Department conducts a Christmas tree recycling program each January, and officials are urging residents to recycle them by taking them to one of nine locations listed below.
"The trees will be made into wood chips rather than being added to the landfill, thus saving landfill tipping fees," officials said.
