TOMS RIVER, NJ — A proposal to add seven buildings and 144 apartments to the existing Jamestowne Village complex is set to go before the Toms River Zoning Board of Adjustment on Thursday.

Hearings on the application, which initially were set for August, have been postponed previously, including in late October at the request of the applicant, JD Jamestowne LLC. The zoning board agenda for Thursday not yet been posted as of the weekend.

The proposal would increase the number of apartments at the complex on Walnut Street to 480 total, and place buildings 26 feet apart; the township's zoning requires 60 feet between buildings. It also requires a number of variances for building size, setbacks, and number of parking spaces — zoning requires 876 spaces for the complex, but the proposal is for 504 spaces.
