TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River's municipal offices will be closed Monday due to the Columbus Day holiday.

That means garbage and recycling will be delayed a day because of the holiday as well.

The rest of the week is busy, with a Township Council meeting set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, committee meetings of the Toms River Regional Board of Education on Wednesday and a meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment on Thursday.

Tuesday's council meeting agenda includes presentations to people and organizations being honored by the Greater Toms River Chamber of Commerce and resolutions awarding contracts for projects and purchases, including body cameras for the police department.

The agenda for the zoning board meeting was not yet published online.
