Traffic Alert: Road Closures For Memorial Day Parade In Toms River

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The annual Memorial Day Parade is set for Monday morning in Toms River, and that will result in some road closures.

Beginning at 9 a.m. Main Street will be closed to vehicles from Route 37 to Water Street, and Washington Street will be closed from Main Street to Hooper Avenue.

The parade is set to step off at 9:30 a.m. from The Office Lounge and march down Main Street to Washington Street, then east on Washington Street to Toms River Town Hall, where a ceremony will be held.

The road closures are anticipated to be lifted about 1 p.m.

This marks the 89th Memorial Day parade organized by George P. Vanderveer American Legion Post 129.

This year's grand marshal is U.S. Army Capt. Jerry Wagner.
