Traffic Shift In Store During Route 166/37 Construction In Toms River
The road work will disrupt traffic at the intersection this week.

TOMS RIVER, NJ -- Motorists traveling through Toms River this week should plan extra travel time or avoid the intersection of Route 166 and 37 due to planned construction, the New Jersey Department of Transportation announed last week.
Traffic on Route 166 will be shifted and constrained to one lane in each direction beginning Monday while drainage work is performed on the southbound side of the road, DOT officials said.
The work affects the stretch from Colfax Street south of Route 37 to just past the fork where Old Freehold Road branches off Route 166 and is expected to last three days, through Wednesday, officials said.

The work by New Prince Concrete will include drainage improvements, utility work, and milling and paving to permit widening of this portion of Route 166, NJDOT officials said.
Bad weather could impact the project; there is an 80 percent chance of rain on Monday, according to the National Weather Service's Mount Holly office.
