Traffic in Toms River and Manchester

Passing on the right

Is there something that people who drive on Rt. 70 east or west are trying to prove? Passing on the right, or driving so close to the back end of the car they are following you could become engaged. If you drive the speed limit, are you not entitled to slow down when approaching a red light? What I have encountered since living here is a bunch of drivers, every single day that break the laws that should be obeyed on the highway and they are so used to doing it their way, that new residents have to learn to be bad drivers to fit in. Rt. 70 is a trap and I would love to see the local police enforcing the law and especially paying attention to the young men who think their trucks are traffic weapons. If a person slows up as they are approaching a street where they might plan to turn left, people get annoyed. Get over it.

The other days there was an article in the paper that a man had been hit by a car in the Manchester Shop Rite Parking lot........someone wasn't paying attention or maybe driving too fast. I thought that pedestrians had the right of way. oh well.
