Truck Fire In Beachwood Woods Extinguished; Blaze Suspicious, Authorities Say
The fire was discovered after Beachwood police received a report of smoke in the area.

BEACHWOOD, NJ — An early morning fire in a wooded area that destroyed a truck has been labeled suspicious, Beachwood fire officials said Monday.
The Beachwood Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of smoke about 5:45 a.m. in the area of the 600 block of Briar Way and discovered the truck on fire in the woods off Oak Street and Briar Way, fire company officials said.
"The fire was quickly extinguished and is suspicious in nature," fire officials said in a post on Facebook.

The incident is under investigation by the Beachwood and Toms River Police Department Detective Bureaus and the Ocean County Arson Task Force, fire officials said. The New Jersey State Forest Fire Service and Beachwood EMS assisted at the scene.
