Video, Photos Of Burglars In 2 Break-Ins Released In Toms River
Three burglars got in through unlocked first-floor windows and stole a 2022 BMW from one home, woke a homeowner at the second, police said.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River police have released surveillance video from one of two burglaries that happened early Tuesday in Toms River.
The videos show the three burglars moving around the kitchen and living room of the home, opening drawers and apparently trying to decide what items they can take.
Twice the burglars look right into the camera, but the three have their faces mostly covered and they were wearing gloves.

The first burglary at a Hickory Street home happened shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday, said Jillian Messina, media relations specialist for the Toms River Police Department. The burglars rummaged through kitchen drawers and took four sets of keys, then stole a 2022 BMW M8, she said.

The second burglary happened about an hour later at a home on Tall Ship Court home while the homeowners were sleeping upstairs. Messina said. One of the homeowners woke up to find a burglar standing over her bed; she startled him and the others off, Messina said.

The three men were wearing hoodies and face masks. Police are asking anyone with information to email jmastronardy@trpolice.org.
