Some hilarious Internet memes artfully captured Gov. Chris Christie standing and looking frozen behind Donald Trump as the billionaire presidential candidate celebrated his Super Tuesday victories (see below).

The New Jersey governor was the subject of ridicule on the Internet as he has portrayed himself as a loyal Robin to Trump’s Batman. One poll seemed to reflect that spirit: Christie’s approval rating among registered New Jersey voters has dipped by 6 percent his endorsement last week, falling to 27 percent, according to a Fairleigh Dickinson University poll.

Six N.J. newspapers also have called on Christie to resign.

The first meme uses the theme from the Larry David show “Curb Your Enthusiasm” — showing a bewildered look that often happened David when he found himself in some sort of trouble. The second pays tribute to the “Twilight Zone.”
