Watch Toms River East Little League At Education Foundation Fundraiser
The Toms River East Little League's Metro Region final will be shown at Downtown Night Out, the Toms River Education Foundation said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Downtown Night Out is being transformed into a watch party Friday night for the Toms River East Little Leaguers as they play for a trip to the Little League World Series.
The game, which is scheduled to start at 7 p.m., is being televised on ESPN, and the Toms River Education Foundation has made arrangements to show the game outside during Downtown Night Out, which is hosting a fundraiser for the Toms River Education.
Toms River East is playing in the Metro Region championship game against Massapequa Little League of New York. It's looking to avenge its regional tournament-opening loss to the New York team and punch its ticket to Williamsport, Pennsylvania in the process.

If Toms River East wins, it will be the second straight Williamsport trip for a team from Toms River East Little League, a feat it achieved in 1998 and 1999 with the team nicknamed "The Beast from the East."
The Toms River Education Foundation fundraiser had been scheduled for several weeks, and is set for 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Capone's Gourmet Pizza and Pasta House, Battle River Brewing, and Garden State Distillery Company all will be donating a portion of their proceeds from Friday's Downtown Night Out to the education foundation.
