Watch This Toms River Police Detective's Winning Dance Moves
Tom Grosse showed he was light on is feet and won the trophy at the Jersey Shore Girl Scouts' Dancing With Our Stars event.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — He practiced. He danced. And in the end, Toms River Detective Tom Grosse won over the judges, bringing home the 2017 Mirror Ball Trophy at the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore's annual Dancing With Our Monmouth and Ocean County Stars event.
The event is a fundraiser for the Girl Scouts, and includes judging like that of the TV show "Dancing With the Stars."
Grosse, who danced to "I Fought the Law (And the Law Won)," the 1960s single, was chosen from a field that included Ryan and Allyssa Blumenthal of Corinne Jewelers; Don Cowan, Cowan, Gunteski & Co., P.A.; Kevin Fenstermacher of the Lakewood BlueClaws; Ruth Harms of George Harms Construction Co.; Shawn Michaels of TownSquare Media; amd Sam Soprano, C & A Financial Group, the council said.

The judges were Toms River Police Chief Mitch Little (who recused himself during Grosse's performance); Jeremy Grunin of the Grunin Foundation; Tom Hayes of New Jersey Natural Gas, and Carol Stillwell of Stillwell Hansen Inc.
The celebrates the community's business leaders and helps them unleash the dancer within. Grosse and the others prepared for the competition weeks of specialized training for the Tango, Cha Cha, Waltz, Swing and Salsa!

"We are very grateful to all those who supported Detective Grosse in his Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore - Dancing With the Stars debut!" the Toms River Police Department said in a post on Facebook. "The judges were outstanding and spot on with their critiques."
"It was a great night and we are so proud to announce Det. Grosse won the coveted mirror ball trophy!"
