Water Main Work Under Way In Silverton Road Area Wednesday

Breaking: If you have to travel in the area, expect delays; SUEZ is replacing the water main, company officials said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — If you have to travel the area of Silverton Road on Wednesday, be aware that crews are working on replacing water mains in the area.

SUEZ water officials said the water main work began about 9 a.m. and is expected to last until about 2 p.m.

"As a result, there will be a temporary interruption of water service during the project for customers located on Silverton Road, Fielders Lane, Kathleen Court and Hidden Pond Lane," SUEZ officials said.

The affected customers were notified on Monday about the temporary water service shutdown date and times, advised to fill containers with water for drinking and cooking, and to fill sinks/bathtubs with water to use for washing and flushing the toilet.

The customers scheduled to experience the temporary interruption due to the main replacement are as follows:

  • Silverton Road: 1046, 1054, 1066, 1078, 1090, 1112, 1130, 1131, 1155, 1175, 1183, 1189, 1200, 1217, 1224
  • Fielders Lane: 504, 505, 508, 509
  • Kathleen Court: 1760, 1761, 1764, 1768, 1772, 1773, 1776, 1779, 1780, 1783, 1784, 1787, 1788
  • Hidden Pond Lane: 1801, 1802, 1805, 1806, 1809, 1810, 1813, 1814, 1817, 1818

"Please know that every effort will be made to ensure that water service is restored in a timely manner to the customers," the notice said.

"SUEZ apologizes for the inconvenience as crews work to ensure water quality and service reliability efficiencies.
