Weekly Food Distributions Continue In Toms River

Families who are struggling as a result of the coronavirus pandemic can pick up free food at two sites.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — As they have for 22 weeks, volunteers will gather at South Toms River Elementary School and at the Toms River Presbyterian Church on Friday to help distributed free food to those in need as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The South Toms River Elementary School distribution, at the school on Dover Road, starts at 9:30 a.m., and the Toms River Presbyterian Church, 1070 Hooper Ave., the distrbution starts at 11 a.m.

The distribution at South Toms River Elementary School will include emergency food kits and student lunches for next week.

No identification or registration is necessary. All you have to do is drive up and pop your trunk, and a volunteer will place the food in your vehicle.

The food is provided by Fulfill, along with donations from Silver Bay Bagels, and from M.V. Silveri & Sons, which has provided fresh produce.
