Woman Sought In South Jersey After Using Stolen Checks: Police

Breaking: The checks were stolen in Toms River, used at banks in Hammonton, Mays Landing and Little Egg Harbor; can you identify this woman?

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River police are hoping someone can identify a woman they say cashed checks at three banks in South Jersey, after the checks were stolen during car burglaries at Riverwood Park earlier this month.

The burglaries happened Jan. 7, said Ralph Stocco, Toms River Police Department spokesman. As parents watched their children at the sports complex, someone smashed out windows and took property, Stocco said, including several purses, credit cards, cash and checkbooks.

"Subsequently, surveillance images observed a white female utilizing the stolen checks at three Ocean First banks in Hammonton, Little Egg and Mays Landing," he said.
