World Rocks Against Dementia - Asbury Park
WORLD ROCKS AGAINST DEMENTIA is taking place on Sunday March 19th at The Saint 601 Main Street, Asbury Park, NJ. to benefit local charity.
WORLD ROCKS AGAINST DEMENTIA – ASBURY PARK is taking place on Sunday March 19th at The Saint 601 Main Street, Asbury Park, NJ. This event is part of a worldwide initiative being held in over 60 locations all over the US and the World.
Area musicians are donating their talents using the Power of Music to raise awareness and raise funds for local dementia support organizations. Tickets are $10 online and $13 at the door. All proceeds from the day’s event will go to benefit the work of Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey, a local non-profit organization based in Toms River and Freehold to support and expand it’s Alzheimer’s Respite Care Program. Inspired by the mission of the Alive Inside Foundation, The Asbury Park event is one among over 60 locations set for the weekend of March 18/19 from all over the US and on 3 continents all over the world. The goal of the World Rocks Against Dementia Event, is to create awareness of the global impact of dementia as well as support organizations that provide services and build hope for families dealing with the challenges of living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. http://www.caregivervolunteers.org/
The Asbury Park event is being Sponsored by Marquis Health Services, owner of rehabilitation and healthcare services with 16 locations in the northeast, including Coral Harbor in Neptune and Willow Springs in Brick.

About Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey
Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey is a 501 C3 agency whose mission is to is an interfaith nonprofit agency dedicated to providing supportive services to the elderly, veterans, the disabled, and their caregivers, enabling them to live independently and with dignity in their own homes. Over 1000 volunteers provide free services including medical transportation, grocery shopping and respite to Caregivers. The Alzheimer’s Respite Care Program uses specially trained volunteers to provide weekly relief to at home caregivers of a loved one with dementia.
