How To Have More Energy, Part 1
When people say they "do not have enough time," I don't believe it is time that they are lacking. I believe they do not have enough energy.
When people say they “do not have enough time,” I don’t believe it is time that they are lacking. I believe they do not have enough energy in them to complete whatever it is they are setting out to do for the day. Energy and how a person treats their bodies are directly correlated. If you are not maintaining and fueling your body properly, you will never have enough time and energy.
This lack of energy is in the way of where a person is right now and where they want their body to be. Until exercise and a healthy lifestyle become a priority and a habit in a person’s life, not having enough energy to workout will always get in the way. There are several strategies I will go over in the next two weeks that will help reverse the lethargic feeling.
The first is eating real food. Food will either take away our energy or gives us energy. If you consume something and immediately after you are either hungry again or tired, that was not something your body wants to be consuming regardless of how good it may taste. People lose most of their energy to their digestive system having to process the amount of garbage calories it is being fed all day.

A simple rule to eating is that you should only consume foods that contain one ingredient. For example, chicken contains chicken, a potato contains a potato, spinach contains spinach, a banana contains a banana, and an almond is an almond. Avoid every food that is made up of several different ingredients and if it did not come from the earth, do not eat it. By eliminating all of these foods, commonly called processed foods, you are guaranteed to have more energy.
The second is to stay hydrated all day. The importance of water cannot be stressed enough. Everyone knows they should drink water but most likely do not drink enough of it. Water directly impacts your energy level throughout the day. Taking into consideration that your brain is approximately 80 percent water, staying hydrated will help you maintain mental energy and cognitive functions. Not only does it help your brain to function, it plays a crucial role in your body’s ability to flush toxins. Organs have to work harder when you don’t have enough water. This leads to a feeling of fatigue.
