Butler Sets Public Hearing On $40K Wastewater Pump Station Improvements

BUTLER, NJ — A public hearing is scheduled next month on a proposal to spend $40,000 on improvements to Butler's wastewater pump stations.

The pending bond ordinance was introduced and passed on first reading by the Borough of Butler's governing body Sept. 15. It is scheduled for final consideration following a public hearing Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Building, located at One Ace Road.

The proposal would appropriate $40,000 for the wastewater pump station improvements and authorize $38,000 in borough bonds or notes to help finance the work. No grant funding is listed in the ordinance summary.

The notice also lists $4,000 in Section 20 costs and gives the improvements a useful life of 40 years. It does not identify individual pump stations or describe the specific improvements proposed.
