Speaker: Helen Goldenberg, art historian, will speak about Jewish artists in Paris before World War II
Program: discussion of artists such as Chaim Soutine, Marc Chagall, and others. The talk will be an examination of secular Jewish art in the Parisian avant-garde from roughly 1915 - 1935, and will discuss the shtetl and Askenazi motifs which appear in the artists oeuvres
Refreshments including bagels, coffee and cake will be served
