Kinnelon Man Found Dead of Drug Overdose at Home
Family said 23-year-old had been battling drug addiction.

A 23-year-old Kinnelon man was found dead of an apparent drug overdose at his home Friday afternoon, police said.
Lt. John Schwartz said officers responded to a report of an unattended death at about 3:45 p.m. When they arrived at the home on Brook Valley Road, they were directed by the family to a basement bedroom, where they observed a man laying on a bed, unresponsive, police said. Family members said they came home from work and found him in his room, police said.
Upon further investigation, police confirmed the man had died and found evidence of drug use around the body and in the room, police said. The family confirmed that he had been battling drug addiction, police said.

Officers were assisted at the scene by the Morris County Sheriff’s Department and the Morris County Medical Examiner's Office.
