Kings Supermarket, located at 300 Pompton Ave. in Verona has already seen a clear increase in the amount of customers and in the amount of sales.

To keep up with the onslaught of holiday shoppers, Kings receives deliveries this time of year 24/7.

“We get deliveries every day. Produce is picked the day prior and it is in our store within 24 hours from local farmers,” he said. “Shoppers choose our stores because of the quality and the freshness.”

Super Foodtown of Cedar Grove, located at 597 Pompton Ave., is also getting their share of the holiday rush.

“We have definitely had an increase of shoppers stocking up for the holidays,” said store director Michael Buck.

Along with burgers, condiments and patriotic tableware, customers have been buying up fresh store-made hamburgers, sausages as well as fresh mozzarella.

“They are exclusively store-made and made with special ingredients,” he said. “Our shoppers come to us because we are the friendliest store in the area.”

Party Fair, located at 93 Pompton Ave. in Cedar Grove, has great deals on 4th of July party items.

“Balloons are our main concentration,” said general manager Brian Schuster. “We have nicer and more elaborate balloon bouquets compared to other party stores. We have better customer service, better balloons, a better selection and more product.”

The tableware sells the best, he says, but Party Fair also offers many holiday items such as balloons, plates, napkins, table covers, decorations, banners, American flags and more.
