A Cedar Grove grandmother pushing her five-month-old granddaughter in a stroller Monday afternoon in the township was slightly injured after being hit by a pickup truck while crossing the street, Cedar Grove police reported Wednesday.
The 70-year old Cedar Grove woman was pushing the stroller through the intersection at Pompton and West Bradford avenues around 3:30 p.m. on March 18 when a 2008 Dodge Dakota allegedly made an improper left turn onto Pompton Avenue and struck the woman and the stroller, authorities said.
“Upon impact, both the woman and the stroller were knocked down and the stroller was dragged several feet with the infant contained inside,” police said.
