Cedar Grove Police Arrest 2 for DWI

A Little Falls man was arrested after he was found asleep in his car at an intersection while a Cedar Grove man was arrested after flipping his car on a utility pole.

Police found 22-year old Craig Anderson of Little Falls asleep behind the wheel of his car on the morning of Thursday, September 20.

Following a 9-1-1 call, police found the car in gear, idling at the corners of East Lindsley Road and Stevens Avenue in Cedar Grove at 3:10 in the morning.

Anderson was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a field sobriety test.

He was taken to police headquarters and released pending a municipal court appearance.

Police arrested 25 year-old Michael D. Ciccarelli, of Cedar Grove for driving while intoxicated.

Police said the 2012 Jeep Cherokee was traveling South on Pomptop Avenue at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday September 23 when the car left the roadway and crashed into a utility pole causing the car to roll completely over and come to a stop on a front lawn.

Ciccarelli was taken to Mountainside Hospital for injuries to his face before being processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.
