
On Tuesday, May 17 at 1:11 a.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio initiated a motor vehicle stop for an observed violation. A subsequent check of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC) computer revealed that the operator’s driving privileges were under suspension. The 47 year-old operator, Anthony M. Campagna of Little Falls, was arrested on the charge and transported to police headquarters for processing. A check of the Automated Traffic System (ATS) revealed that Campagna was also wanted on an outstanding warrant issued by the Little Falls Court. The defendant was processed on all charges and released after posting the required bail.

On Tuesday, May 17 at 8:25 p.m., police arrested a Montclair man on charges that he was operating an unregistered, uninsured motor vehicle while his NJ driving privileges were under suspension. The 24 year-old defendant, Ellison R. Ferdinand of Montclair, was processed on the charges at police headquarters and released pending a Municipal Court appearance. The defendant’s vehicle, a 2005 Lincoln Town Car, was impounded. Ptl. Jose Rodriguez was the arresting officer.

On Thursday, May 19 at 8:57 a.m., Ptl. Michael Grasso initiated a motor vehicle stop for an observed violation. A subsequent check of the NJMVC computer revealed that the operator’s driving privileges were under suspension. The 24 year-old operator, Everton C. Kerr of Montclair, was arrested on the charge, processed at police headquarters, and released pending a Municipal Court appearance.

On Thursday, May 19th. at 2:31 p.m., police responded to a Lewis Road business on a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, an employee of the business reported that some unknown person(s) had punctured all four tires on her parked vehicle, a 2002 Honda. The matter was referred to the detective bureau for follow-up investigation.

On Friday, May 20 at 3:23 p.m., police, fire and rescue squad personnel responded to the intersection of Ridge Road & East Bradford Avenue on a motor vehicle crash involving a vehicle rollover. A subsequent investigation revealed that one of the involved vehicles, a 2009 Nissan Altima, had been traveling north on Ridge Road when it collided with a second vehicle, a 2008 Jeep, that had been traveling west on East Bradford Avenue. Following the impact, the Jeep turned over on its side, requiring the fire department and rescue squad to extricate the operator, a 21 year-old Montclair man, by removing the windshield of the vehicle. Upon extrication, the subject was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment on a complaint of head pain. The operator of the Nissan, a 17 year-old Wayne girl, had complaints of neck and wrist pain was transported to Mountainside Hospital for treatment. Neither of the injured parties suffered life threatening injuries. Based upon witness accounts, the operator of the Nissan was issued a summons for the disregard of a red traffic signal. Ptl. Scott Moody was the investigating officer.

On Saturday, May 21 at 2:14 a.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio initiated a motor vehicle stop for an observed speeding violation. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 29 year-old operator, Aquil J. Jordan of Newark, on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended and providing false information as to his identity to a police officer. During processing, Jordan was also found to be wanted by the Essex County Sheriff’s Department on an outstanding civil contempt warrant. The defendant was processed on all charges and turned over to the Sheriff’s Department at the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark on their warrant.

On Saturday, May 21 at 12:42 p.m., Ptl. Scott Moody initiated a motor vehicle stop for an observed violation. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the vehicle on a charge that he was operating the vehicle while his NY driving privileges were under suspension. The 47 year-old defendant, Ronald E. Stiskin of Monsey, NY, was processed at police headquarters and released pending a Municipal Court appearance.

On Sunday, May 22 at 2:01 a.m., Ptl. Eileen O’Toole initiated a motor vehicle stop for an observed violation. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the vehicle operator on a charge that he was operating the vehicle while his NY driving privileges were under suspension. The 47 year-old defendant, William C. Newkirk of Mt. Vernon, NY, was processed at police headquarters and released pending a Municipal Court appearance.
