On Tuesday, June 7 at 3:21 p.m., police arrested a Jackson, Mich. woman for marijuana possession.
Katrena L. Young, 29, was processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.

A 23-year-old Verona resident was arrested June 8 for operating a motor vehicle while his driving privileges were suspended, Cedar Grove police said.
Omar Karim was stopped after police said he committed a motor vehicle violation. After further investigation, police arrested Karim on the charges. He was processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.

Cedar Grove police arrested two 35-year-old men June 8 on shoplifting charges at the Foodtown Supermarket on Pompton Avenue.
Nicholas Restaino, of Newark and Simon V. Pignataro of Piscataway were arrested after store personnel identified the men and a police investigation revealed the men attempted to shoplift approximately $375 worth of merchandise from the store, according to police reports.
Restaino was additionally charged with possession of a small amount of cocaine and drug paraphernalia and with providing police with a false identification.
Both defendants were processed at police headquarters and released pending court appearances.

A 31-year-old Passaic woman was arrested June 9 following a minor car accident, Cedar Grove police reported.
Dolores J. Narvaez was arrested for operating a vehicle with suspended New Jersey driving privileges following the accident on Bowden Road and Sherman Avenue.
In addition, Narvaez was wanted on a civil contempt warrant issued by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department. She was processed for the suspended driving privilege charges and turned over to Passaic County authorities on the warrant, police said.

Cedar Grove police are investigating the June 10 theft of some jewelry from an apartment on Cedar Ridge Drive.
According to police reports, the jewelry was removed from a box in her bedroom sometime between 1 and 4:30 p.m. on June 9.
There were no signs of forced entry to the victim’s apartment and the matter was referred to the detective bureau for follow-up investigation.
The victim was unsure of the total value of the stolen jewelry.

An 18-year-old Verona woman and two juveniles were arrested June 11 and charged with drug and alcohol possession following an incident on Dominick Court, Cedar Grove police reported.
Amanda C. Reyes was arrested after police were called to the address on a report of a suspicious occupied vehicle.
While speaking to the occupants, police said they detected a marijuana odor in the car. After further investigation, police found the drugs and paraphernalia and arrested Reyes. She was later processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.
Police also charged one of the juveniles with possession of an alcoholic beverage. In addition, both juveniles were charged with possession of two fake New Jersey driver’s licenses.
Both juveniles were processed and released to their guardians pending an appearance in juvenile court.

A 44-year-old Verona man was arrested Sunday and charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle while his New Jersey driving privileges were under suspension, Cedar Grove police reported.
Nicholas G. Mariniello was processed at police headquarters and released pending a municipal court appearance.
