On Monday, June 13, police investigated a report of the theft of a teacher’s iPod from her classroom at Cedar Grove High School. The iPod was described as being a light blue shuffle model valued at $80.

The matter was referred to the detective bureau for follow-up investigation.

On Monday, June 13 at 1:33 p.m., police arrested a Paterson man for allegedly shoplifting from the CVS pharmacy.
Richard J. Anzisi, 45, was arrested after police located the vehicle he fled in.
He was subsequently charged with shoplifting $272.95 worth of toothpaste from the store at 1041 Pompton Ave.
He was processed at police headquarters and released pending a superior court arraignment.

On Tuesday, June 14 at 2:20 p.m., a Lake Hopatcong man was arrested for an outstanding warrant and a motor vehicle violation.
Kyle M. Nolan, 23, was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle with suspended New Jersey driving privileges, police said.
He was also wanted on an outstanding traffic warrant issued by the Long Beach Township court.
Nolan was processed and released after posting bail.

Police are warning motorists to exercise caution following two separate motor vehicle crashes involving deer occurred in the township on Wednesday, June 15.
The first incident occurred on Pompton Avenue near Stevens Avenue at 12:40 p.m., while the second incident occurred on Upper Cedar Street at 10:29 p.m.
Both incidents involved the deer running into the roadway, police said.

An Ozone Avenue resident reported his wallet was stolen from the center console of his 2011 Nissan Thursday, June 16.
The victim said the wallet contained his identification, credit cards and cash.
The detective bureau processed the car for physical evidence and is conducting a follow-up investigation.

A Harper Terrace resident reported someone cut a screen and entered an unoccupied home on Thursday, June 16.
An inspection of the home’s interior revealed no damage and nothing missing from the home.

An employee of the Pompton Avenue Krauser’s store reported on Thursday, June 16 two male suspects allegedly took $30 worth of cigars from the store without paying before one fled in a small white car and the second ran to the rear of the building.
Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the men.

A 65-year-old man was arrested on Friday, June 17 and charged with two counts of theft of beekeeping equipment on two occasions, with an aggregate value of $1,234, police said.
The victim contacted police the previous evening after he discovered someone had taken some of the equipment, including 21 beehive boxes and 18 covers/lids, from the side of a Pompton Avenue business.
On Friday morning at 11:03 a.m., he contacted police when he allegedly saw a man putting the gear in his car.
Police responded to the scene, questioned the man and arrested him. He was later identified as Alberto Martinez.
 Martinez was processed and released pending an appearance in superior court.

Sometime after closing time at the Grasshopper Restaurant on Grove Avenue, someone forcibly entered the restaurant and stole an undetermined amount of cash from a cash box behind the bar, police said.
Both police and the detective bureau are investigating.

On Sunday, June 19 at 2:56 a.m., two Montclair men were arrested for marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession after a traffic stop.
During the investigation, police allegedly detected the odor of burning marijuana and found a small amount of the drug before arresting the 20-year-old suspects, identified as Anton M. Corazza and Darius V. Lavan.
Both men were processed and released pending municipal court appearances.
