Cops Seek Hungry, Homeless Burglary Suspect In North Jersey

The bike-riding 47-year-old man is allegedly responsible for 7 burglaries in North Caldwell, Little Falls and Allendale.

Police are searching for a hungry, bicycle-riding man who may be responsible for up to seven home burglaries in the North Jersey and Essex County area.

Authorities have issued warrants for the arrest of James M. Rainsford, 47, a homeless North Jersey man who may be residing in vacant houses in the Paterson area.

Police reported that in several of the burglaries, investigating officers discovered missing food, such as ice cream, leftover Chinese food, almonds, water bottles and a pitcher of iced tea.

Rainsford was reportedly seen making his escape from several of the alleged burglaries on a bicycle, NorthJersey.com reported.
